I am Shel Ritter and new here. Little background about myself. I am an only child age 56. My mother passed away when I as 12 when she was 40. My beloved spouse passed away of lung cancer 10/2004. My previous hospice, american lung association, hypnotherapy, NPL, Reiki Master, massage all since the early and mid 90's did I not realize that I was lead in the 90's to assist me in assisting my spouse to crossover in dying (my spouse and I were only together since 2000, but had known each for 10 years in other relationships) consciously. I am a former HR manufacturing manager by professional trade. Left that in 2006 to heal my personal grief. I teach an abstract expressionist art weekly class at a retirement community. My students are ages from 84 - 100. We have been together for one year, however, I dread that one week that I will not see one of my beloved student in the physical. I am a spiritualist medium, therefore, I know that I will always feel them in other ways. I am studying right now Alberto Villolodo's online hospice shamanic Dying Conscious program. My passion and what I am developing as I write, a dying conscious retreat and workshops for individuals with life threatening illnesses and retreats for the caregivers and family members on our 17 acre organic farm here in Bloomington, Indiana. We (my new beloved partner) have 2 miles of walking trails, which I call the trails of contemplation. My spouse who passed away in 2004, I assisted him in his transition by myself. His family members were in such denial. I have had this special calling to assist others in a loving peaceful loving conscious way of passing. I worked with Dick's chakra energy centers in his transition...speaking with him during his last 24 hours laying with him in bed next to him while he was unconscious yet conscious. as we know. What kept me strong and to do this ... words cannot explain....of course, after all was over and I was alone...family all gone...they my healing process started.
